It was a very toasty day out on the water that’s for sure, (90 +) and the water temps were like 89.8 so extremely hot water too. Not a deep lake at all and they really can’t go deep so the only true way to catch them is flipping docks. You can catch em on a bever and craws too but i found that flipping a ZMan Bang Stickz picked up a lot of bites. The water is absolutely chocolate milk so i was using black blue laminate. I was flipping a 1/4 WOO Tungsten NEVERCHIP around with a 4/0 VMC HD Ringed EWG. I was flipping with 30 lb suffix 832 braid to a 20 lb Suffix Advanced Fluorocarbon leader. The 1/4 oz was key because the docks are in 2 ft of water, you could even go lighter if you wanted. Caught like 14-15 lbs in a couple hours just picking them apart, tried a jig but they wouldn’t commit.
