Water in this lake is quite stained, and has only maybe 1.5ft clarity so submerged weeds don't grow too deep. Water temp at about 80 degrees. The better quality bass were in 6 to 8 fow on greener submerged vegetation. Chuck-and-winding a white chatterbait worked well to catch several 3 pounders. Retrieved a chatterbait as slow as it would still vibrate, as close to the weeds as possible, and making contact then snapping off the vegetation. Also added a few keeper largemouth with a hollow body frog in the pads and over the shallow weeds at sunset.
