The last couple weeks TVA has dropped the water level about 2’. We were throwing Jack Hammers on the ell-grass flats. The bass are staging on the flats and just off on the breaks getting ready to come up and spawn. The darker colors seemed to work a little better. A lot of grass and weeds are floating, if the bait gets fouled just give it a rip to clean it off. Vary the speed a little to dial in what they want for the day. Most of our hits were coming from when we slowed the retrieve coming in or when we were fowled by weed and we ripped our line to clean the bait and would get the hit a few seconds latter.
