I just wrapped up my final stop of the 2022 MLF Pro Circuit season on Lake Champlain with a 32nd place moving up to 12th in the AOY standings. This week on Champlain the water temp was in the mid 70's and there were a ton of fish chasing bait in 13-20'. It set up perfectly for chasing fish with my Lowrance Active target and using a Z-Man Trickshotz on a dropshot setup. I also caught some of my bigger smallies on a 1/2oz chartreuse and white MINI MAX with a bad shad minnowz trailer.
After catching a solid limit I would go shallow and flip for bigger largemouth to move up the leader board. On day 2 I was able to connect with a Lake Champlain monster, weighing in the big bass of day day at 5lb 10oz.
Overall there are lots of fish to be had right now whether you prefer targeting small or largemouth bass!
