If you're fishing lake Kissimmee, focus on the outside edges of kissimmee grass in that 4 - 6 ft range. Pitch a 3/4 or 1 oz craw style bait and pick apart the edges or isolating grass clumps near the main edge. Even were there is other vegetation mix within
