Large numbers of small bluegill can be caught close to shore with a bobber and worm, but larger fish will be sitting farther out in around 10 feet of water. Look for rocky bottoms and cast a drop shot with nightcrawlers, about 4-6 inches between weight and hook. If fish doesn't hit within 10-15 seconds, reel in and cast again.
