Mid lake points with stumps or scattered rock is where I begin every outing on Norman during the summer months, water is typically cleaner than the upper end and much cooler than the lower end which makes for an awesome day long topwater bite walking a black, bone, or chrome into the wind across the many points on the lake. Committing to a topwater walking bait during the summer will produce plenty of amazing blow ups along with the possibility of that personal best for a topwater lure. A chrome or bone walking bait is what I am using when the sun is shining and black or bone when there's cloud cover or low light conditions.
