Fished Lake Toho Wednesday. Fishing conditions were tough and I knew they would be coming off of a long holiday weekend. Fished some offshore grass beds and shell beds throwing a Bill Lewis MR-6 and a 1/2 oz. Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap, Strike King Thunder Crickets, and drop shotting with 6" Straight Tail RoboWorms and WOO! Tungsten Drop Shot Weights. Only managed a couple of fish doing this so I then transitioned to fishing hydrilla. I focused on fishing patches of the hydrilla. Flipped a Missile Baits D Bomb on a Denali AttaX 7' 4" Heavy Fast paired with a Quantum Smoke S3 8.1:1 gear ratio reel with K9 Fishing 60 pound "8" Dyneema Braid with a 25 pound Sunline FC Assassin Flourocarbon leader. I had the Missile Baits D Bomb paired with a 3/4 oz. WOO! Tungsten Never Chip Flipping Weight and a 5/0 VMC Heavy Duty Flipping Hook. I caught the biggest of the day on a 1/2 oz. White Strike King Thunder Cricket paired with a Cream White Gary Yamamoto Zako Swimbait trailer. I had the Thunder Cricket setup on a Denali AttaX 7' 3" Medium Heavy Fast Casting Rod with a Quantum Smoke S3 7.3:1 gear ratio reel paired with 20 pound Sunline FC Sniper Flourocarbon. I also spent some time flipping the outer edges of some grass lines but didn't manage a bite.
