Fished September 19th at around 3 PM. As I was launching to the left of the boat ramp I noticed a large group of kayakers and was informed that they had a tournament that day in addition to the San Diego County of Bass. Regardless of the two tourneys held earlier, I picked up three bites on the swimming Zoom Fluke in White Ice on a lightly pegged texas rig; I was only able to capitalize and land two of the bass; one small and the other around a pound and a half. My fourth and last hit of the day was on a Heddon Spook JR. in Flitter Shad color. The fish seemed to swipe at the Spook, it appeared to be in the 1-2 pound range amongst the feeding bass I noticed as I casted. There were a few small busters as I fished the three coves to the left of the boat ramp and a couple larger schools of busters as well. I went back on the Sep 23., again for the evening bite and hit the same spots, mostly sticking to the outside of the coves. I threw the same Fluke set up and a Rapala Rattle trap. I caught one on the rattle trap second cast and had one bite til sunset on a texas rigged worm.
