Trolling spinners during a mayfly hatch is one of the best ways to put fish in the boat,. Use your electronics and find the clouds of mayfly off the humps and put a crawler or 1/2 crawler on and troll around the area at 1 mph-1.5 mph. I like to run at least 50 of line behind the boat depending how windy it is. The lighter the wind the further away from the boat you want to be. The fish will hit, let them have it for a few seconds before you set the hook. I use a braid and tie about 10 feet of 8 lb mono and then a good swivel to the bottom bouncer and then attach the spinner. I also like using line counter reels for this long line trolling but any walleye setup spinning or casting will work fine. Use 1 oz of weight for every 10 feet of water. Good Luck
