Spent time up shallow fishing frogs in pads. Produced a lot of blowups, but very hard to connect. When you did connect they were good fish.

The water temperature was a warm 83°F, with a tanic clarity that made for interesting fishing conditions. Despite the pesky mosquitoes, the fishing was fantastic, especially with top water lures. The fish were aggressively hitting anything on the surface, making for an exciting day. Poppers and walking baits were particularly effective, providing explosive strikes that made the mosquito bites almost bearable. The best times to fish were early morning and late evening, and using a medium to fast action rod helped with better control and hook sets with the top water lures.

**Bull Shoals Lake Fishing Report** The conditions at Bull Shoals Lake were perfect for fishing. The water temperature ranged from 72-75°F, with clear water and winds at 5-10 mph. The combination of these factors made for an excellent day on the lake. When fishing along the high banks, Rk Crawlers proved to be incredibly effective. The fish were biting consistently, making for an exciting time. In the back of the creeks, using 6th Sense 3” Whales with 1/8 Owner Ultra Round Heads was the key to success. This setup attracted plenty of fish, keeping the action steady.

I used the Rapala DT 10 around chunk Rock as a searching bait to cover water in the morning looking for my first 5 keepers that day when I caught a nice bass just over 4 lbs. Great way to start the morning. Caught several more smaller bass as I continued down the shore stretch.

Yesterday was definitely a grinder type day. Adding in the rain, it does pay off to have some good rain gear. Majority of the keepers bit the war eagle spinnerbait paired with a Missile Baits spunk Shad. The biggest of fish came off a white buzzbait. All of the fish that were caught was in less than 5 foot of water. Fishing the backs of extensive creeks and some islands you could find some fish searching for bait.

My cousins, brother, and I were fishing off of a point, next to a marina. I cast out, let the craw sink, and then slowly reeled it, mixing in some hops. I caught this fish, and lost another. My cousin caught a 3 lb. largie on a Neko rig. Praise the Lord for the catches!

Was able to get a Top 10 finish at Greers Ferry Lake during our state championship back in early October. All of my keepers as well as majority of the fish I caught during this two day event was a combination of different jigs paired with a Strike King Menace grub. I found a stretch of bank where an old river ledge was that drop from 5 ft to around ~20ft. The fish were all across that stretch so I didn’t matter where you threw at. Hopefully this helps you guys out on your next fishing trip.

Fished banks with brush out to 8 feet on bigger rock (basketball size) one fish spit up a giant crawfish in my livewell. Pegged 1/2 tungsten weight with 5/0 wide gap either swamp bug at or rage bug. Seemed like the brush that stuck out a little further than the rest had the fish on them. Also ran a buzzbait around on open banks with sparse brush for some of our other bites.

My favorite bait for lake Dardanelle is a stupid tube. The lake has so many different types of cover and the only bait I’ve could that can come through it Al is a stupid tube. You can catch more fish if you spend more time fishing and less time in snagging your lure. It may not be the best presentation for the dark dirty water but it gets the job done. The tube is a Jack of all trades. I will throw it at any sort of cover or just straight up in open water.

When fishing a swim jig j try to get it as far into cover as I can. Especially on a lake like lake Dardanelle this is very important. With so much cover and pressure you need to present you bait to fish who haven’t seen anyone’s else baits.

Post cold front fishing was on fire! Had a front move through the night before. Water temp was 52F, air temp was 36F. Wind was 10-15 mph out of the north. Fishing in 50-60' of water, running the minimax parallel to the bank as slow as you could make a 8.2 speed reel go produced bite after bite.
