As a fisherman without electronics, I love when the bass can be found shallow. There is a lot of dead water this time of yea, so I tend to focus on the most obvious areas, covering water until i get a bite. As bass are chasing bait, when you find one there will most likely be more. Fish areas close to deep water access where bass can corral bait. Forage is small this time of year, but don't be afraid to throw big baits or trailers anyways

Fishing the Googan Squad Buzzbait on the surface and changing the speed of your retrieval is huge this time of year! Bass will hit a Buzzbait all the way down to 40 degree water temp, I caught this fish casting over thick weeds where I could see bait fish swimming around.

The bass have moved shallow chasing bait. Find anywhere that bass can pin bait shallow, ie any point, bluff wall or area with quick access to deep water. Slow down and toss a senko if needed, a hungry bass may be looking for shad but cannot resist a senko sitting in front of them
