Went out after a thunderstorm and fished a submerged rock pile. Just made a decent cast over it and reeled it back over the rock pile. Nothing big just caught numbers.

Went out mid morning and caught some frog fishing lily pads! Seemed like the points of the lily pads that had current or wind had the most activity. Could see them chasing baitfish so also pulled a spinnerbait through the open lanes. 🐸 🎣

We were trolling along the shoreline and throwing topwater lures around over hangs and near brush piles. We had 2 big bass hit, one on a frog and another on a Jitterbug.

Bluegill were along edge of points on grass edge. Had to find vegetation with current on the points to be productive. Current was key.

Partly cloudy day and there was an algae bloom going on. The water was quite murky, so I chose the Black Power Worm on a Berkley Shaky Head. The plan was to hit the holes around visible grass clumps. On the first cast he hit it on the fall! Don’t be hesitant about throwing worms 10 or 12 inches long, the big Bass will crush them!

Casting next to the lay downs on the bank was the most consistent bite. The water is pretty dirty with only a few inches of visibility, so a darker trailer helped the bait stand out. Managed a good number of 1-2lb fish.

I fished in the wicked heat and even more wicked humidity. The fish were feeling the same way I was. Slow and tight to cover. I found them tight to docks and fairly sluggish. I threw around the buzzbait and didn’t even realize I had a bite until I felt it pulled tight. Weird day with the heat, but glad I still found some!

Went out in the evening. Fish were chasing bait everywhere it seemed like. Most came just waiting and throwing a spinner bait right into them as they blew up on the surface. If not that a jig/minnow. Also grabbed a few on a white senko wacky rigged. Just hammered them for a few hours 💪🏼

My friends first time using a texas rig caught a 5.43 in a lake known for small bass fishing near a drain pipe. I lost and even bigger one the day before.

The bite came right at dusk using a variety of sizes and colors of the 6th Sense Divine Swimbait. Use a weedless weighted hook and vary the retrieve speed with a few jerk, pause rod movements.

Tried a number of techniques over a very long day. Only had about 3 solid hookups by eventually throwing the swim bait rigged weedless into the thick submerged vegetation. They all came with a large side salad.

I finished 5th in the IKFC tournament. It was an absolute grind of an event with a lot of pressure from other fishers and pleasure boaters. The top water bite turned in as the sun came over the horizon. It only lasted about an hour or so. I caught my key fish on a frog over the submerged grass close to rock piles. I did manage one on a bone Sexy Dawg in open water in the back of a pocket.

Found a good patch of grass with lots of bait in it and they were stacked up like crazy. Caught 18lbs for our best 5 in about 45min. Just throw that dropshot in there and pull it nice and slow through that grass!
