MORNING BITE the fish where on fire before the sun came up they where on shallow rock along the dam and in the brush piles. Once the sun came up they moved into 12-18 ft of water off the dam and they where in the gray now that’s it’s FINALLY starting to show up. Fish are patterned on small 3 inch gills and a few are chasing shad deep in moving water.

That time of the year you can run a trap all day and catch fish anywhere on the lake. The whole lake is done spawning now and a few fry guarders are in the coves. I found fish hopping a TN70 in 13 feet of water as well as throwing it in the shad balls (find the birds find the fish). When they stopped biting the trap i found a few better fish with a football jig in 15ft of water. o

Water Temp. Was 72 degrees sunny calm day most of bites were off bottom with a slight tipping technique. Some reacted great with and nice easy retrieve on a swim bait. Popping flukes had most success today. Caught 9 with largest at 3lb 2oz.

Water temp was 68 degrees. Clear skies. No wind, got a few bite pushing out deep to the color line. Normally would be able to pitch up to shore line on lay downs or grass and rocks. Lake level dropped 9 feet in 3 weeks. Very unnormal. The only success found was hitting deep along the color line. Very difficult when fishing along the shore. Recommend kayaks or carry down boats. Lake is so low you can't even pull boats in. Very strange for this time of the year. Of you have weighters you can get further out and have more success. No promising catches buy had 4 bites through the day. It was a rough one.

Water temp at 64 degrees windy choppy conditions with a lot of cloud cover. Tipping shaky head had much success. Twitching flukes with a longer pause had good success as well. This time of the year soft baits are a way to go. A shallow and deep dive crankbait also helped trigger bits don't be afraid to try new colors. It's a perfect time to experiment with different colors to advance your experience with the clarity and weather conditions.

Water Temperature
79°
Water temperature high today at 79 degrees. I think that is do the the power plant fill port it tends to keep the lake hot. It was a hot sunny day light wind to the northwest direction. Tipping chatterbaits with a swim bait anchor seem to have lots of success in today's catches. Biggest of the day was a 2lb. 12oz largemouth.

Water Temps are still ranging about 70 to 75 degrees. Nice sunny day light wind which help to provide some current for attraction. Constant retrieve worked really well with a chatterbait. Also a periodic pause on retrieve with top water baits had good success today as well.

Water Temps are cooling off to the low 70s. Nice calm weather. Learned something new. Using a constant retrieve with a chatterbait seems to working really well. Loud noise works really well in the morning feeding frenzy. Even top water with a choppo or buzz bait it's a good method.

Water Temps are slowly starting to cool down. Running jigs along the boat Ramos through the grasses and the rocks. Good school of bass in that area.
