Minneapolis, MN – Omnia Fishing, a rapidly growing online tackle retailer, today announced the hiring of Pete Przepiora as a Field Account Manager. 

Pete joins Omnia after successfully contributing to the market share growth of the Daiwa brand in the Midwest market.  Matt Johnson, Omnia’s CEO, commented, “The Omnia team is extremely excited to have Pete join our team and accelerate the growth of our field sales, user activations and onboarding, and fishing organization support management.  We’ve continued to invest in fulfilling our vision of offering a unique shopping experience for each lake and, while we use a wide range of digital marketing activities to spread awareness of our brand, nothing competes with developing relationships in the field.”

Pete will be responsible for direct management of field sales channels and high school, college and fishing team fund raising support.  Engagement within our over 200,000 unique shopping lake pages is a core focus of Omnia moving forward and adding users to the platform and offering them value immediately is a top priority.  Pete will deliver a message of support for organizations that compete in fishing tournaments and help grow and preserve our sport. 

Omnia employs a proprietary algorithm to make tackle buying easier.  Omnia uses key attributes like water clarity, depth, species, seasonality, and structure to narrow tackle selection down based on the water body and user preferences.  Users then have the ability to report styles and structures that are catching fish to help rank the product results and earn credits towards future tackle purchases.  This lake specific product filtering and style rankings helps cut the noise for more novice anglers and allows them to avoid being overwhelmed by options. 

Omnia also owns a majority interest in Bass Utopia and uses this owned media channel to match products and styles with a fresh cycle of content and blur the lines between tackle purchases, new products and technique discovery, and content consumption.
