Braidwood Power Plant Cooling Pond (IL)

Travis Oesterle Fishing reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Body Swimbaits technique and Shimano Curado DC Casting Reel on Braidwood Power Plant Cooling Pond. Additional comments from this report: "Battle the immense amounts of fishing pressure by standing out. Searching out the prime water temps where the large females are still feeding and not ready to commit to their spawning areas can be more than rewarding on the big glides. Many fish can also be caught on jerkbaits in the same areas."

Reported by
Brayden Klinksick

Stockton Lake

Brayden Klinksick reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Body Swimbaits technique and Daiwa Tatula 300 Casting Reel on Stockton Lake. Additional comments from this report: "This spring from the point the water hit 47 degrees I have been catching tons of fish on the glide and losing my definite PB smallie. There are key areas throughout the lake where they have been eating the glide better than others. The best spots to throw the glide have been steep rocky banks, shallower bluffs, and long tapering points. The north side of the lake is extremely clear meaning the drawing power of the glide is very high. You may not catch every fish on the glide, but with the proper follow-up bait, you can convert a lot of followers into catches. (6in green pumpkin stickbait) Don't be afraid of the glide, and you'll likely break your PB."

Reported by
Russell Bianchi

New Melones Lake (CA)

Russell Bianchi reported catching Spotted Bass using the Hard Body Swimbaits technique and Daiwa Tatula 300 Casting Reel on New Melones Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Focused on points and shoulders of main lake. Conditions were a slight breeze with 3-5 mile hour winds. Tried to stay in the shadow areas as much as possible. Caught 8-10 fish. "

Shimano SLX 150 A Casting Reel

Reported by
Jackson F

Reported by
Tin Ngou

Lake Norman (NC)

Tin Ngou reported catching Spotted Bass using the Hard Body Swimbaits technique and Shimano SLX 150 A Casting Reel on Lake Norman. Additional comments from this report: "Early morning on a cloudy day on lake Norman could be the best time to catch some fish in the summer on lake Norman. Today I was fishing shallow around boulders with the bullshad. Those spotted bass were destroying it as I reel past boulders. Today I was throwing this medium size swimbait on a medium heavy st croix mojo bass rod with a shimano slx. I had 30lb braid to 20lb leader with a snap to allow bait to swim freely. I was just burning this bait across the top of boulders in shallow water. The water was very clear like usual on lake Norman today. Most fishing in less than 5 ft of water."
