The smallmouth and spotted bass were active in the backs of the short pockets chasing shad. Our best fish came on a River 2 Sea Whopper plopper, some bonus fish were caught flipping a jig in the laydowns and brush right after the topwater. Cover as much water as you can and keep your head down looking for fish"
