The Gator Guy From MNKFA

Rush Lake (MN)

The Gator Guy From MNKFA reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Topwater (Prop) technique and Shimano Curado DC Casting Reel on Rush Lake. Additional comments from this report: "The Whopper Plopper size 90 in bone color was a killer bait for pike and bass on East Rush Lake. I fished the far south end of the lake. It’s shallow and has lots of submerged weeds where the bass and pike like to hide. I could see areas between the taller weeds that created openings to pull the top water bait through without hooking weeds on a retrieve. This part of the lake only gets to about 4 feet deep. On this day, the winds stayed low for about 3 hours and thrill of blow ups and catching fish was irresistible. I caught lots of bass, the biggest being the 20” toad shown in the pic. WOOHOO! :)"

TouFue Moua

Silver Lake (WI)

TouFue Moua reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Topwater (Prop) technique and Shimano Curado DC Casting Reel on Silver Lake. Additional comments from this report: "You have large mouth and small mouth in this lake, find any rocky shoreline and you'll be sure to catch smallies. Find any vegetation and you'll be sure to catch large mouth. Went out on Father's day and was able to catch both species on different technique. Was using a senko skipping it under tight cover right up to the shoreline, chatter bait tossing them under docks, swim jigs fishing in a grassy flat, and frogging over submerge vegetation. "
