The Chub King

Eaton Reservoir (NY)

The Chub King reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Topwater (Prop) technique and Shimano Curado DC Casting Reel on Eaton Reservoir. Additional comments from this report: "Topwater bite was good early in the morning. A little cloud cover and very light wind. bringing the plopper right across the tallest grass or grass lines if the grass was too high to bring it right over the top. Same story as my last report though nothing big, and that includes a pair of fish on a baitsanity explorer gill glide bait that topped out at 2lbs if I was lucky. Once the sun came up the wind picked up and the topwater slowed significantly, then when the wind went calm it died completely by about 10AM. Then I switched up to the Texas rigged roboworm on a drop shot and went for deep grass and found a lot of small ones. A fun day with 25 fish in about 4 hours but a big five bag that may have broke double digits."
