Daiwa Tatula SV TW103 Casting Reel - EOL

$209.99

Reported by
Shane Flint Outdoors

Lake Mooney (VA)

Shane Flint Outdoors reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Jerkbaits technique and Daiwa Tatula SV TW103 Casting Reel - EOL on Lake Mooney. Additional comments from this report: "Picking up bass on the Stuna Jerkbait. Bass were suspended at around 7-8 below the schools of shad. If you find the shad I would pick up bass under the shad school. I would get aggressive bites when I ripped the bait through the water. They were not hitting the bait on the pause. "

Omnia Fishing

Lake Ontario (NY)

Omnia Fishing reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Hard Jerkbaits technique and Daiwa Tatula SV TW103 Casting Reel - EOL on Lake Ontario. Additional comments from this report: "Jerkbaits, spybaits, small swimmers, and ned rigs are good ways to find and catch prespawn smallies on Lake Ontario. Matching the bait to the natural perch or minnow colors is important since these fish can be very wary during the prespawn. Focusing on areas near where spawning fish can be found is the best way to catch them, covering water is the key to finding the most active prespawn fish. On days with warm weather/high sun lean to a faster retrieve and reaction bites. "

Shimano Curado MGL 150 Casting Reel

$209.99

Reported by
Ben Hutchins

Lake Gaston (NC, VA)

Ben Hutchins reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Jerkbaits technique and Shimano Curado MGL 150 Casting Reel on Lake Gaston. Additional comments from this report: "I caught fish throwing a deep-diving jerk bait on submerged road beds. "

Reported by
SmugOne

Abbott Lake (VA)

SmugOne reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Hard Jerkbaits technique and Shimano Curado MGL 150 Casting Reel on Abbott Lake. Additional comments from this report: "This is a beautiful place to fish but there is a lot of activity and pressure in this little lake and you can only fish from the bank. At sunrise, they are a lot less skittish and I was able to catch some smallmouth on the opposite side of the damn. Jerk bait with long pauses and working a senko slow was the ticket on this day."

Reported by
Eastkyangler

Grayson Lake (KY)

Eastkyangler reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Jerkbaits technique and Shimano Curado MGL 150 Casting Reel on Grayson Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Main lake points and secondary points was key "

Shimano Curado DC Casting Reel

$304.99

Reported by
jkinner_fishing

Lake Erie

jkinner_fishing reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Hard Jerkbaits technique and Shimano Curado DC Casting Reel on Lake Erie. Additional comments from this report: "I was set up and ready to catch fish on a drop shot with it being mid July. The fish just weren't eating the drop shot with the shifting wind, the jerk bait ended up being the key. Caught 5 bass in a row at one point off of the rock jetty. The more violently the Megabass 110 was worked the more fish would eat it. Multiple fish were hitting the lure almost every cast. The depth of the 110 is key to drawing those summertime bites. Lake Erie is just an incredible fishery."

Reported by
Max Newkirk

Lake Cumberland (KY)

Max Newkirk reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Hard Jerkbaits technique and Shimano Curado DC Casting Reel on Lake Cumberland. Additional comments from this report: "This was high school regionals a few years back. We struggled to find some fish the first practice day but we found success throwing a jerkbait on points with some sort of structure like rocks or lay downs. A swimbait with an Owner 3/0 flashy swimmer would get their attention on the further sides of the points. "
