Best Ned Rig Bait

Scott Clark reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Ned Rigs technique and Z-Man Finesse TRD on Lake De Montreville. A chatterbait with a goat trailer worked over the grass caught a few, but the ned rig was more successful. "

Went out for the morning bite. With the overcast weather the bass seemed to be off the end of docks. We were just pitchin and skippin Ned rigs. Also found them deep in 12-16 FOW. Deeper fish were significantly smaller than the ones we caught shallow.

Water levels were quite low since the start of summer but it’s also helping making the vegetation easier to see from the docks. We had solid hits pitching ned rigs under and into openings in the weeds and pulled some chonky catches as twilight began.

Really large Perch but they're there one day and gone the next."

Additional comments from this report: "Caught largemouth throwing a ned rig style worm in a jig worm fashion. Fish were 15 to 20+ FOW on weed lines with a rock transition. Cast into the weeds, let the bait get hung up, and rip it free. Bites will come when you rip it free. Primarily used a Googan Rattlin' Ned, I think the rattle helps get a few extra bites. Also caught fish on a drop shot and a few up shallow on a swim jig. "
