River Rat Fishing reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Spybaits technique and Shimano Vanford Spinning Reel on Bass Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Water temp was 40 degrees today and the air temp was 38 and cold. I caught a few early on the lipless but the bite just stopped. I tied on the spybait and fished it super slow about a foot off the bottom on 10 feet of water and put a nice 3 pounder in the boat and 4 between a half and 1 pound. I also caught a decent smallmouth."

Additional comments from this report: "Air temp and water temp was 48 degrees. Clear skies water clarity 2ft. I tried several baits all morning to no avail. I tied on a ned rig and caught two decent fish but then thay bite quit. I was seeing fish on side imaging but I couldn't get them to react. Finally I tied on the duo realis spybait. I was reeling it super slow about a foot off the bottom, I flat out started catching. I put 10 bass in the boat in a little over 2 hrs."
