St. Croix Victory Casting Rods

$200.00 – $275.00

Reported by
SnowtaBass

Lake Jane (MN)

SnowtaBass reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Texas Rigs (Pitch/Flip) technique and St. Croix Victory Casting Rods on Lake Jane. Additional comments from this report: "The dock bite can be pretty decent on Jane in the summer time. The shallow water bass will be seeking shade and cover when the water temp rises. Target the docks with a Texas rig. I prefer around 1/4oz flipping weight but 3/8oz works great as well. Pitch and skip the bait underneath the dock as far back as you can get it, and work the bait slowly back to the boat. A majority of the time the bass will hit it on the fall. Also target any natural cover you may come across like trees and logs in the water."

The fish have been pretty sluggish lately! "

Finding some sort of structure near the banks was a big plus when getting into the 3lb+ bass"

LipRipper_MN

Lake Pepin (MN, WI)

LipRipper_MN reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Texas Rigs (Pitch/Flip) technique and Dobyns Rods Fury Casting Rods on Lake Pepin. Additional comments from this report: "The largies wouldn’t hit any moving baits today, switch to a jig but only got hit lightly a couple times. Switched to a Texas rig vile bug(got through the grass a lot better too!) started getting good bites and located the fish. Water was dirty so a junebug/black blue was the best color option, just fished slow picked apart the vegetation! "
