Hobbies / Interests

I've been fishing since I was a young kid growing up in New York with my father. I started fishing for salmon and trout on Lake Ontario trolling with downriggers but I soon talked my dad into trying for Bass. Shortly thereafter all the salmon and trout gear went to the back of the closet, and the quest for the green trout (BASS) began. I fished my first bass tournament in 1991 as a senior in high school on Lake Champlain. That was where the passion and the need to compete in tournaments begain. Shortly after graduating from college, I bought my first bass boat, a Stratos 278. While living in New York I fished the RedMan Trail (Now the BFL) and local tournaments on Conesus and Honoye Lake. I moved to Minnesota in the fall 2000 and began fishing tournaments the next spring in a bass club called the Sportsmen Bassmasters and a tournament trail called Team Bass. I soon started fishing the Pro/Am tournament trail called the Silverado Pro/Am. I found local success and felt the need to try my hand at the national level, although very challenging I love the traveling and the fishing of new bodies of water the national scene provides. I've been fishing professionally on the national scene for a number of years and have taken the last two years off from fishing the BASS Opens, in 2020 I plan on fishing them again. My overall goal, and it's tough road to take, is to qualify for the Elites Series.
