Wade has been guiding on the waters of Voyageurs National Park for the past 22 years. He calls Lake Kabetogama his summer home and the primary waters he fishes are Kabetogama, Namakan, Ash River, and Rainy Lake. As a license USCG captain for 20 + years service, and showing guests the area is his primary focus. The goal on a trip with Wade is to learn about the patterns at that time of year and to catch fish after a day on the water with him. Operating a small resort and guide service call "Voyageurs Adventures", he specializes in day, 1/2 day, or evening fishing trips! Some guests simply want to a boat tour around the many islands of Voyageurs National Park or a trip to the historic Kettle Falls Hotel. If you're a kayakers or want to camp on islands, he ran an outfitting business for 10 years leading kayaking tours in Voyageurs, so ask him your questions. His knowledge of the area is endless with a family history that dates back to the first resort on Kabetogama, run by his great grandfather, started in 1916. So, fishing, kayaking, boat tours, or any insight on the area...ask Wade Watson, sometimes called the "Kab Kid" or look for Voyageurs Adventures when you're in the area!
