Fished a kayak tournament out of old Whitney 4/16. Covered about 5 miles west and north of the ramp in total. Caught 13 fish and lost a few good ones on the ole trusty white zoom fluke. Biggest was 2.10. Fish were tight to cover, especially lay downs. At the end of the day I was watching bass all different sizes going crazy on tiny bait in the back of a small cut.

Either Texas rigged, or used as a jig trailer. The Berkley Powerbait Pit Boss (June Bug/Green Pumpkin) has been money so far since early March. Pitching or flipping in grass. Let the bass indicate how they want the bait. Slowly dragged or hopped on the bottom.

caught beside some laydowns, nothing spectacular caught many about this size. good enough to get your limit fast and trade up from there.

2-13 caught in matted grass between docks, right next to the sea wall. it was 3-5' deep windy clear day. water temp 61º
