Report is for May 5th. Weather was variable with light winds, kind of on and off sprinkles and partly sunny. Found bucks up in the warmest water, but no larger females. Headed out a bit deeper near some weeds and found some better fish in the 12 to 15 inch range, but not larger fish found this day. Overall about 10 small fish on a 5inch floating rapala minnow and then about 10 larger fish on a Jackhammer in Bhite Delight, they were definitely keying on sunfish. It was fast and furious on the jackhammer after I headed out a little deeper. Seemed like for the females it was still prespawn.

Lots of sunken structure on this lake. Fishing the structure for staging females near shallow water is a great way to catch them on Bass Lake during the prespawn/spawn timeframe.
