TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureLedgesThis is a lake that I do guided trips, electronics classes and use to practice a lot of the techniques I take around the country. For more info head to graebuckfishing.com/#guide. This most recent trip on 8/24/22 I was targeting large and smallmouth bass on ledges that had a mixture of stumps, rocks and hydrilla. Using a MR6 and ned rig on the top of the ledges to where they dropped of was the key to getting bites. We even had a big school of stripers come up schooling and put three 8-12lbers in the boat on a jigging spoon. It was a fun surprise and made for a great battle for my clients on our Favorite rod and reel combos.

TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonFallStructureBaitfishThe fall season is starting to kick off on Beltzville Lake! We landed 10 smallies and 2 largemouth mostly a Z-Man MinnowZ and TRD. The key was finding the alewives in certain areas and the smallmouth would be bunch up around them. The key depths were in that 15-25' range. The water temperature is still 65 degrees but as it continues to drop in the next few weeks the fishing should just continue to pick up as the bass start getting shallower and putting their fall feed bag on! Beltzville is where I do guided trips, electronics classes and use to practice a lot of the techniques I take around the country. For more info head to graebuckfishing.com/#guide.
