Found them tight to cover. Most of the time I wouldn't even feel the bite but would see the line moving and feel weight.

Mid strolling from a kayak along the rip rap banks around the timber hill boat ramp. Got a little close to the bank and popped it off a rock and that’s when I felt the rod load up. Wasn’t necessarily targeting crappie but when it’s this big I can’t complain!
