      Smallmouth bass have moved off the bank a bit in late summer and are hanging out deeper on rock reefs feeding on crawfish a ned rig with a craw works just fine but I found that you could catch more and better fish with a wacky rig. I was throwing a 5 inch yum dinger in green pumpkin. Slowly sinking it anywhere there is rock you are almost guaranteed to catch fish. Water is slightly dirty from vegetation starting to die off before fall and the water temps are in the low 70’s.
