Water was super dirty and very shallow docks. (2ft or less) lots of pressure on this super hot day so flipping this in the middle and shaking it was producing. Got me 4th in a local derby around the house.

I had some time to take the boat for a rip at the end of the day so I decided to make the most out of it. The water was probably 2 inches of visibility. The conditions were pretty windy on the main lake (15-25) and the water temps were anywhere from 72-75. It was a 80 degree day and was cooling off once the sun had started to set. I couldn’t get a moving bite going really so I decided to pitch to some docks and was also skipping to docks, I was getting some bites skipping it in the backs of docks but not a lot of quality. I moved to the inlet and started to fish some lay downs. That’s where the quality was and I caught a decent one for the north county! (3-9) I was fishing an outkast tackle Cage Feider jig, it was 1/2 oz and the color was black sapphire. I paired this up with a Strike King Rage Craw chunk in black with blue flake. I fished it on a 8.1 Daiwa Tatula Reel and a 7 ft Medium Heavy rod with Suffix 30 lb connected by a fg knot to 20lb Suffix Advanced Fluorocarbon.
