TechniqueShakey HeadsSeasonSummerStructureReedsFished today from 7am-3pm in the Kayak Anglers of Florida tournament. I prefished on Thursday and followed the pattern I found then for today’s tournament. It was mostly sunny, a few afternoon showers and then a big storm at 3pm. Water temps started about 78 and got up to 83. The wind shifted from the southwest to East right around 1:30 and that seemed to turn the bite on. It was pretty simple fishing, I used a Woo! Shakey head in 3/16 and 1/8 oz. I started with the Jackall Flick Shake in Bluegill, casting the points and pockets in the grass. After I had a small limit I switched to the zoom trick worm in Junebug and made a few culls to end up with 79” which was good enough for 3rd out of 29 anglers.
