I went out fishing for largemouth bass this morning. The air temperature was about 78 degrees while the water temperature was about 80 degrees. While the sun was still low in the sky, I found a small school of largemouth bass offshore with a Berkley Dredger 14.5 deep diving crankbait! Once the crankbait bite stopped I immediately switched to a dropshot with a Live Target Ghost Tail minnow on the hook. Got two hits but no fish were boated. When the sun got high in the sky I switched to flipping a Texas rig with a Missile Baits D Bomb. I ended up catching 2 on the outside edge of a weed bed, including a 3 pounder! Blue Marsh lake is a tough lake and I consider this a successful day.

My brother in law was able to toss deep diving cranks around fish cribs and rock piles to elicit strikes.
