It’s cold so dress warm, sunny days target rock flats 2-5 ft with deep water channel, swing bank near by Largemouth are looking to fatten up for winter make long cast and cover water . Slow roll your XZone Swammer and under spin bait ticking the rocks. Use some Bait Fuel on your bait to help the bite . Give it a try and have fun good fishing.

Practice for the upcoming Colorado Kayak Fishing Club Tourney. Caught one decent smallmouth and two smaller ones. Started fairly shallow and cranked deeper with a Storm Wiggle Wart. This caught two of the fish. The Expride rod is great for feeling every rock and keeping them pinned. Caught one other smaller one on a Bait Cave Customs Cave Swimmer on a 1/4 oz jighead. Still prespawn, but fish were starting to move up.

Water temps reached the high 50's and with that target shallow areas with grass. fish were in 3-5 of water either right along a weed line or tight to cover (brush, laydowns, etc.) Fish the ZMAN Chatterbait Jackhammer with a medium-speed retrieve. Did not necessarily need to add in pauses, jerks, or speed changes to get the fish to bite. The main key was accurately casting along the weedline or cover.
