Smallies were cruising shallow. Some were on beds. Casted on some weed rock transitions with chatter baits and then slowed down with the jib on some rocks and caught some good fish.

Good largemouth to be found throughout the massive beds of matted up grass and duckweed found throughout the lake. One of the keys is to find mats close to deep water (more than 5 feet). Many of these mats move with the wind, and the bass will move with them. Another way to break these down is to pitch around the edges with a jig or neko rig.
