Went bass fishing, caught a bunch of pike instead. You could probably catch as many pike as you can handle right now out there on jerkbaits. Used mostly a Berkley Stunna but also caught some on a custom 110 style jerk

Morning conditions were no wind, water was glass. Lots of surface popping going on but we were unable to get on a top water bite. Had a few hit early on a chatterbait, and then managed to get one on a squarebill, but it was pretty intermittent. Eventually figured out a pattern hitting the dropoffs in 7-10' of water with a jerkbait. Managed to pull in about a dozen keepers in the next 2 hours doing that.
