Laydowns
Fished the northern part of the lake out of Dayton focusing on points and shallow coves in the creeks. Nothing on the points but found some smaller bass in the lay downs in the backs of small shallow coves. As the water temp heated up a bit and the sun got higher we worked the wacky a little deeper focusing on stumps in 3-5 ft of water and deeper lay downs near the points in 5-7 feet of water. Our bigger fish came off the stumps and the deeper lay down with the largest being 3.1 lbs. Nothing huge but fishing was a bit slow and the wind was making it difficult to fish anything on the more open water.

Bite was post cold front and super finicky. Some bass on beds but seems like most hadnt really kicked into the spawn swing. Bass were deeper along rock piles and boulders. Took third in tournament and big bass all on drop shot on deeper rocks near spawning areas.

Cranking shallow brush and isolated rocks in shallow water was the key. 3ft or less is where all of my fish came from in the backs of creek arm. The water is still rising so the fishing is about to fire up.
