Chisago is a great lake for big pike! They are currently cruising the weed lines and feeding heavily on bluegill, crappie and perch. Toss a 4-6" swimbait around and hang on tight!

Bluegill and crappie are starting to school up on the deep weed edges and the bass are right there with them. Look for panfish activity up on the surface or mark them on your graph in that 10-15' range. The bass are sitting in the weeds below the panfish waiting to strike. Run a chatterbait, spinnerbait, swimbait, crankbait, anything that resembles a bluegill over these deep weeds and you will find active bass. The post-spawn funk is coming to an end!
