Launching out of Holly Creek, bite was slow, but picked up more as you got to the main lake points near the river channel. Picked up this one and a cpl decent largemouth working the Sexy Dawg over 12'-15' water near the points. Had some short strikes, a few jig bites, but topwater seemed to get the most quality fish. Lost an absolute unit of a smalljaw right at the kayak a cpl days later, that was made worse with it swimming off with my most productive lure. Water was slowly cooling off, so bite should be getting good soon.

Finished the bfl regional out here and was it a struggle. Chasing balls of bait and trying to catch them in 40-60’ didn’t make it any easier.caught some good smallmouth but they were in that slot.first time fishing here hope to get redemption soon.
