Water temps are in the upper 80s. Top water bite has started to slow down but still caught a few on a walking bait early. Caught a few on points with big shad balls nearby with deep diving crank baits.

Bass are chasing shad all over the lake. Whopper ploppers work well early and if the wind is up. Old school crazy shads and other smaller double prop baits are working well when the plopper bite slows. Bigger fish can be caught underneath the shad with a spoon.

Water temps upper 50s to low 60s and sunny. Males moving up to bedding areas. Caught a few nice females. More to come in the next few weeks.

All bites in heavily stained shallow water (less than three feet) in Shouse Ford area.

Water in mid 80s. Found spotted bass schooling in several parts of the lake. They would hit various lures on top but a whopper plopper seemed to be the most efficient. After the bite slowed a small swimbait picked the few remaining.
