Water temp was around 74 degrees and stained green from algae. Bluegills seem to have been turned off by an thunderstorm earlier in the morning and seem scattered in less than 10 feet of water. You would catch one or two in a spot and then have to move to find more. Many of the ones we caught seemed beat up like they were spawning. The size of bluegills was also varied. We caught them on a small hook with a chunk of worm. We did not try targeting any on beds.

Caught bass on docks with a bluegill pattern jig. We tried some moving baits (spinner bait, DT 10, chatterbait) and drop shot however nothing else was working.
