The Lake is filled with tons of young of the year SHAD. The key to this tourney was finding coves with lots of bait+timber. Early in the morning, throw the magdraft right up against the shore as they'll be pushing bait up shallow. mid morning, try throwing it in the middle of the creek/cove in 0-8ft of water, the Magdraft will call the fish in. during the middle of the day, throw a big glide bait. they bass went crazy for the glide regardless of the size or shad around. Wherever you find bait balls, the Great lakes finesse Sneaky Underspin with the drop minnow as a trailer will allow you to stick out but still keep the right profile, action, and vibration! Find fish off main lake points with cover and standing trees. The early bite was also good with top water in the back of coves. Also landed a few fish on a soft swimbait with a 1/4 oz head up in the trees.

With water temperatures rising to 67°-74° to the afternoon the fish were aggressive early hitting Chatter baits and slowed down after the sun got high. Target laydowns with Berkley worms or your favorite soft plastic and have some fun.
