 - Crappie are in the brushpiles or in the trees in the back of the creeks. Using 15lb braid to 1/8 to 1/4 ounce jigs tipped with white or chartreuse in color soft plastics. Depths vary with the night time air Temperature. Water temps have varied from 55 to 63 in the last 2 weeks. Texas has a minimum of 10" for crappie. Most fish exceed that. The brush piles are located usually on points. Side scan or live scope come in handy. Good numbers if you are patient. 13 to 15" crappie are not uncommon.
