Water finally high enough to get out. Tried to get into the second cove but floating weeds and hydrilla kept us from getting in, so we got into the first cove after fighting with the hydrilla and got a couple. Fish were at the edges of the floating pads and mats. Biggest was 2.88lbs, pictured. Left and went across the lake and fished the reed line, got a few bites but no luck. Moved out a little bit and fished along the hydrilla edges and got a couple more, pound and a half. Let the wind push us across towards the deep hole and hooked a few but they got off.

Was finally able to get out on Fish lake today, barely got through the canal leading from the ramp in a flat bottom boat, it's very shallow 2 feet. Unable to get to the area where I wanted to fish, so we fished along the weeds in the main lake 6 feet of water throwing up towards the shore. I 8 total, 6 on the Gambler and 2 on Yum. Biggest was 4.69lbs pictured, had 2 over 3lbs and 2 over 2lbs and only 1 under a pound. Missed a bunch as well and had a couple get off.

Only got 2 today, 3.37lbs and 1.52lbs. Had a small one jump and spit the hook right beside the boat and missed a few. Water is now high enough to get out, but it looks like they have sprayed the reeds and weeds recently, bunch of dead weeds floating and along the shore. Bites were coming just as you exited the weeds into cleaner water. The 2 that got in the boat were on the Gambler worms, one on each color and the small one hit a Yum Dinger in Mardi Gras.
