This lake! It's different every time I go out. What a grind. The one constant is the KVD Blue Craw Red Flake color. KVD has it for just about every soft bait they offer. So if you're going to Folsom, I strongly recommend stocking up on whatever your favorite finesse techniques are with this pattern. The lake level is down a bit. And as I continue to pull myself away from fishing the shoreline (where I'm most confident) to learn more offshore techniques, I was able to go off shore and easily find submerged boulders. I wasn't getting any action with a Texas rig, so I switched to a shop shot, and things lit up from there. I went from grumpy to happy, pretty quick!

Rough day at Folsom. Fished from 10:00am -> 6:30pm. Fished depths from 35' to shoreline. Worked my Folsom trustees, Shad Color Crankbait, Z-Man Ned TRD, Drop-shot 6" wacky rig. Also ran a Whopper Plopper (black) quite a bit. 1 bite and 1 fish (10") all day. Caught a nice limit 2 weeks back including a 20" spot. Water level is dropping gradually but hasn't affected my normal spots. Only thing I could think was the full moon possibly affected their eating habits. Good Luck!
