The fishing was good in that the fish were actively feeding. However, conditions were changing which made the fish very "Independent" (appropriately enough). Caught 6 fish on 6 different baits adjusting as the conditions and area dictated. This was the biggest, 3.5 lb. A little football I caught on the chatter bait. Lot of work... Lot of fun! One of the nicest days of fishing of the year concerning the weather. Majestic. Overcast with a bit of sprinkles through the afternoon. Caught a lot of Smallie dinks, 0 to 1.5 pounds. Personal Best or I should say Person Least Walleye, 5 inch 2 ounce cute little guy. I got tired of catching dinks and made a solid effort to break my frog draught. Zero fish and not even a swirl. 😭 I still had fun and it was very active with huge carp. There are some big carp out there. Such a nice day I stayed longer than I planned even despite the busy lake and boat wash. Confirmed my dislike of weekend fishing. Great day. Very blessed and grateful.
