In late June numbers of good quality Largemouth begin the end of their spawning ritual and begin to stack up in and around the deeper cuts leading into Goose lake. Covering water fast with a buzzbait in and on the outside edges of the reeds will help you locate fish fast. Once you have found an area with a concentration of bites start flipping a 5” stick bait in at the reed with a 3/16oz pegged weight. Some of your beat bites will come very shallow just as the reeds thicken and cast a more consistent shadow. Johnston Bay directly south of Goose Lake is also excellent for this pattern. Wind blown reed points first!!
