Just Fishing the Flats for Schools of Fish. Got First Place in a tournament this summer out there. It's very clear so with that being said maximizing distance on cast got you more bites. Throwing a 1/4 tungsten drop shot weight.

Soft and hard jerk baits on shallow flats adjacent to deep-breaks produce consistently for both numbers and size. I rig a Zoom Fluke and super fluke on a VMC HD Wide Gap hook (3/0 or 4/0) on a Dobyn's Champion XP 683 SF spinning rod with a Daiwa Fuego 3000. My hard jerk baits vary in brands but I primarily throw MegaBass Vision 110s this time of year on a Dobyn's Sierra 683C casting rod with Tatula SV TW 103. Varied retrieves work depending on mood of the fish and conditions.
