Many fish were on the beds and some were still pre-spawn. Water temps were 62-68. I caught fish in the beds by swimming a medium sized glide bait over the beds and also flipping a rage bug onto them. I also found some fish on steeper rocky banks.

I caught some crappie on deep water standing timber. Many of my fish came from 10-20 feet and a few from 25 plus feet. Most of my fish came off of small white jig and a few came of a small silver lipless crankbait.

Laydowns
Fished a shakeyhead SMH Wormz (highly recommend these worms) along shallow laydowns and submerged logs caught several keeper smallmouth. The bite was a little slow while shaking off any small bluegill/panfish, but enough to keep my attention. When they bit they were committed and I knew so had them.
