Sitting in about 13' of water casting to shore and slowly hopping my bait back to the boat making sure to work it in and around the inside grass edges as most of the largemouth were looking to get up shallow and spawn I did catch a couple with bloody tails over all the night was good resulting in 20-30 fish day with a hand full of big fish in the 20" range.

Sitting in about 13' of water and casting my jerk bait to shore up and around laydowns, working my bait with a 1, 2, 1, cadence pausing every so often the key was to work my bait on slack line so that it would kick all the way around 180°and The fish would kill it on the pause.

Targeted laydowns and submerged log fields with interspersed weed pockets. Worked the jerk bait across tops of emerging weeds from shallow to deep. She bit in about the 3 foot range on the shallow weed edge line. measured 20.75 inches and weighed 5-9. Absolute TANK of a frame! caught two other 4 plus pounders.

Worked fluke higher up in water column over top of a weed bed adjacent to a small point. Bite came right at dusk, twitch 2-3 times with a 1-2 second pause, bite came on the pause. I like to use a higher visual braid to fluro leader to help see when a fish picks up the fluke on a pause, especially in lower light conditions.
