Found a shallow rock point, and cranked it with a fritside 5 and caught some decent 2.5 - 3.5 lb fish. Also caught fish with a wacky rig once the cranking bite slowed down.

Dead sticking a weightless 5" Senko. Throwing into laydown allowing senko to fall to bottom and letting it lie still for 10-15 seconds then pulling up slowly to see if fish has picked it up. If not move it just a little allowing it to settle back to bottom and remain motionless again. We caught several bass up to 5.5 lbs using this method during early morning up to about 10 AM. Weather got extremely hot bite slacked off and we got off the water. Good luck and use patience when fishing the hot water, drink plenty of liquids and use sun screen when out on the water
